A native Vermonter, Tim has been on fertile Urbana soil for the last 16 years.
Having grown up on a Vermont farm where building and repairing are part of the daily routine, Tim quickly took to working with his hands.
A hobby for many growing up in snowy climes is skiing – which Tim took very seriously. He trained for the Olympics while in school, and although that was out of his reach he was left a lifelong love for the slopes. As often as possible, Tim will find his way to a snowy hill. (no, Orchard Downs doesn't count.)
After finishing high school it was the world that became his next teacher. New Zealand, Indonesia, Portugal, Honduras, and the UK – working on farms throughout to pay his way. Each new place offered a perspective on living, farming and building that shaped Tim's appreciation for working with the materials at hand.
